Student Film Makers

What Is Better Together?

Better Together is a nationwide campaign which aims to build support for hundreds of charities, community groups and associations across the country by encouraging the public to support these good causes and make a difference in their communities.

Video Competition

The campaign centres around an online video competition with charites, clubs and associatons invited to showcase their work to the public with 3-minute-or-less inspirational videos on this website. The 3 videos with the most public votes in each of the competition categories will win cash prizes to further support the work they do.

A prize of €3,000 euros each awarded to each of the winning videos in the following 3 categories:

  1. Organisation with staff with a turnover greater than €500,000 per year
  2. Organisation with staff with a turnover less than €500,000 per year
  3. Volunteer only organisation.
  4. Sadly no, you won't receive the prize money if your video wins (that goes to the organisation for which you will have created a video), but there are other things in life besides cold hard cash you know...

Put Your Creativity in the Spotlight

As a budding film-maker, we are inviting you hone your film-making skills by producing and directing an inspiring video for a charity, club or community and voluntary organisation. Last year over 200 videos were submitted to the campaign, and they were viewed over 130,000 times by over 63,000 people. So why not get involved and get exposure for your work?!
