Help
There's a lot to do in Better Together.
3 competitions, voting, facebook, videos, heroes, donations and more. It can be a lot to take in. Fear not! Help is at hand. This is the low-down:
There are three separate competitions
- the video competition
- the Giving Challenge
- the Charity Hero competition
The Video Competition
Non profit organisations upload a video that they hope will win them 3,000 euro. Your part is to vote for that video. The 10 videos with the most votes will be short listed and then a panel of independent judges will choose a winner.
Vote by using the star ratings widget above each video. Every star counts. It's just like ratings on Amazon or similar.

The Giving Challenge
Above the voting widget you'll see a "donate" button on every participating video page. You can use it to donate money to the organisation who submitted the video. The "Challenge" is that the video which gets donations from the most people will net a whopping ten grand extra for their organisation, on top of all donations received.
The Charity Hero Award
Alongside the video-based competitions is the Charity Hero award. People nominate someone they think does outstanding voluntary work for their chosen cause. Again, your part is to vote for that hero. Just like the videos, the top ten most voted hero nominations will be shortlisted for the judging panel to review.

So what can I do?
- Vote for your favourite videos. Every star counts.
- Vote for your favourite Charity Heroes. Again, points (stars) mean prizes.
- Donate to your favourite cause through their video page and help them win the giving challenge.
- Tell your mates about Better Together, and spread the word.
- Like your favourites on Facebook
- Tweet about your favourites
- Contact the charities/organisations you like and offer your help>
Common Questions
I'm having trouble voting
You are allowed to vote once per 24 hours, per video/hero. When you vote, the system remembers your IP address and time of vote. Voting is allowed once per day per IP address (as outlined in the rules).
To explain, your IP address is the unique address of your computer on the internet. Some office networks may share an IP address between their PCs. If that is the case, then only one vote per video per day will be counted for computers on that network.

Better Together has been tested in the following browsers: Safari, Chrome, Firefox 3, Firefox 4, Internet Explorer 7, Internet Explorer 8, Opera.
Internet Explorer 6 is NOT supported.
I have IE6. Why do you not support it?
IE6 is 11 years old: a long time in an industry that did not exist 20 years ago, and a lot has happened since. IE6 has been found to insecure and slow, leading to a poor browsing experience for users. Last year Google and Facebook (& others) stopped supporting it. This year, so did we. It's time to upgrade your browser.
